There's a stock under $20 that will explode 2000% exactly $BE did. We're really early. Leopold Aschenbrenner bought it in his 13F. Let me explain what $CLSK does first. AI requires a lot of electricity, energy infrastructure, cooling, and computing power to scale globally. $CLSK operates massive energy-intensive computing infrastructure at scale. Right now, most people only associate them with Bitcoin mining. But what the market is beginning to realize is this: The future winners won't just be the companies creating AI. It will also be the companies controlling power access, data center infrastructure, and large-scale compute operations. That changes everything. As AI models become larger and more expensive to run, energy becomes one of the most valuable assets in the world. $CLSK is interesting because it's still small enough where the market hasn't fully repriced the opportunity yet. Honestly, most investors won't even look at $CLSK seriously because they still mentally categorize it as "just a Bitcoin miner." Leopold bought $KEEL $RIOT $TE too. Bitcoin miners are the most notoriously misunderstood AI Infra play. $CORZ $IREN $APLD $CIFR $WULF $RIOT There are six levels of understanding of the miner thesis. Level 1: they still mine bitcoin. (LOL) Level 2: they have pivoted to AI co-location, selling grid-connected power and data center shells to cloud providers in a REIT-like model. Level 3: they hold a scarce asset in grid power and are therefore very undervalued. Grid connections take five years because it was NOT built for AI. Miners are the only way to access this cheap grid power fast. Level 4: with the rise of $BE, power becomes a commodity. Fuel cells are becoming cost-competitive with the grid, and therefore the MWs that miners hold are no longer the bottleneck. Level 5: the scarce asset miners hold is actually permitting. As political backlash against AI increases, permitting time starts to increase from the lower bound of 18 months to the upper bound of five years. Existing permitted sites become immensely valuable. Level 6: Densification. Compute per square foot increases at five different layers: the chip, the package, the rack, the floor, and the site. The permitted site of the miners becomes far more valuable as AI scaling moves from greenfield builds to densification of existing sites due to permitting constraints. Compute on one site can be multiplied by two orders of magnitude or more, giving miners immense pricing power. JUST last year, $IREN was being compared to $CLSK, $MARA, and $RIOT, which made sense when the market viewed it as just another Bitcoin miner. As the market started to understand what was actually being built, that comparison set shifted, and now $IREN is being discussed alongside $CRWV and $NBIS. Most people missed that transition because they stayed anchored to the old category and focused too heavily on dilution, and you can see that same disconnect playing out again today. Note, that last year, $IREN had a $1B ATM open with a market cap under $1.5B and it was seen as a major overhang, yet it still went on to outperform the rest of the mining cohort. Now it has a $6B ATM with a market cap over $12B, and the exact same narrative is being repeated, just at a different scale and in a completely different category.

@hankisinvesting $SIVE / $SIVEF and $IQE. Sivers makes laser arrays and cw dfb lasers for cpo/silicon photonics. And is embedded into hyperscaler supply chains like $AMZN and $MSFT clusters as the light source from captive models like $MRVL celestial from $POET and merchant models from Ayar. Then they’re up capacity through win qualification, so they don’t burn as much capex scaling in house. $IQE is InP epiwafer and refactoring reactors from legacy drag to photonic supply chains. They’re already a known $LITE supplier and the other biggest one is Landmark sitting around ~$4B (with less latent capacity). This is basically the equivalent of $IREN or $RIOT turning their Bitcoin miners into HPC, but for photonics. There’s a decent amount of debt, but this is more of a guess that their Taiwan sales will go through and management will pivot toward InP production for rerating. So those two are my favorites right now

@gofallingknife @Jacktecau990 Messed up my original $RIOT YTD calculations so ended up deleting my post. But, it was a 3-6M short term trade idea capitalizing off $IREN ATM on existing shareholders. I do think $IREN performs well long term if they manage to fill up the ATM since it's much better than debt interest that $CRWV does. But it's at the cost of current holders. The better way to go long with $IREN is to wait until existing shareholders get diluted first then go long after. That being said, I don't think $IREN will outperform all three in 2027.

@jorge_r006 $RIOT, $WULF, $NBIS look structurally in better positions than $CRWV and $IREN are. Hence why the latter two serve as better hedges in sector declines. That being said, just floating this trade idea out after doing more research, I haven't taken any positions yet.

🚨ALERT: 50% of Data Centers will NEVER connect to the grid. Half of the data centers announced in the last 24 months will NEVER connect to the grid. Kevin O’Leary said it. The data proves it. While everyone’s chasing “paper capacity,” $CIFR and $IREN are sitting on EXECUTED grid connections that can’t be replicated. Here’s why they’re untouchable: 266 GW of power projects canceled in 2025 alone. That’s 2.4x the cancellations from 2024. Why? Because the U.S. grid is facing a structural deficit that nobody wants to talk about. • Data centers need 18-36 months to build • Grid connections take 5-7 YEARS (sometimes 12) • Interconnection queues in PJM and ERCOT now average 7 years • Average interconnection cost in MISO: $753,116 per MW Translation: You can announce a data center tomorrow. But you CAN’T connect it to power until 2032. The math doesn’t work. The timeline doesn’t work. The physics don’t work. $CIFR - The Fixed-Price Power Moat: Cipher control one of the lowest-cost power portfolios in North America. > Power cost: $0.027/kWh (fixed, long-term PPAs) > Debt: $0 > Portfolio: 2.2 GW across Texas But here’s what everyone’s missing: Their 1-gigawatt Colchis site has a FULLY EXECUTED Direct Connect Agreement with American Electric Power. Not “in the queue.” Not “under study.” EXECUTED. Energization: 2028. While competitors are stuck waiting 7+ years for interconnection approvals, $CIFR already has a Tier 1 grid connection locked in. And they just signed: • $5.5 billion, 15-year lease with AWS for 300 MW • 10-year hosting deal with Google/Fluidstack for 168 MW That’s $8.5 billion in contracted lease payments for AI infrastructure. $IREN - The Microsoft Validation: $IREN didn’t just secure power. They secured the ONLY thing that matters: a hyperscaler willing to pre-pay billions. November 2025: $9.7 billion AI Cloud contract with Microsoft. Let me repeat that. Microsoft PRE-PAID for capacity that doesn’t exist yet. Deal structure: • 200 MW of liquid-cooled AI capacity • $1.94 billion annual recurring revenue (once online) • 20% prepayment to fund $5.8 billion GPU purchase from Dell • Four “Horizon” data centers at their 750 MW Childress campus But the real alpha? Their 2.91 GW portfolio of GRID-CONNECTED power. Not speculative. Not “in the queue.” Connected. Energized. Operating. > Sweetwater 1: 1.4 GW (energization accelerated to April 26) > Childress: 750 MW (operating) > Prince George: 160 MW hydro (23k GPUs for AI) $IREN is scaling to $3.4 billion in AI Cloud ARR by end of 2026 using only 16% of their total power capacity. The Peer Comparison Nobody’s Talking About: Everyone’s excited about $RIOT, $MARA, $CORZ, and $WULF. Here’s the problem: $RIOT: 1.7 GW portfolio, mostly Bitcoin-focused. 25 MW HPC lease with AMD ($311M over 10 years). That’s 1/30th the size of IREN’s Microsoft deal. $MARA: Building “behind-the-meter” natural gas generation to BYPASS the grid entirely. Smart strategy, but they’re starting from scratch. 1.8 GW capacity, mostly mining. $CORZ: $10B+ contract with CoreWeave sounds massive. But they’re CONVERTING old mining infrastructure. Not purpose-built for AI. Currently unprofitable. $WULF: 750 MW at Lake Mariner. Zero-carbon hydro/nuclear. Clean energy story is strong. But only 72.5 MW of HPC capacity by Q2 2025. Meanwhile: • $CIFR has 2.2 GW with executed grid agreements and $8.5B in hyperscaler contracts • $IREN has 2.91 GW of energized capacity and a $9.7B Microsoft deal The Cooling Bottleneck: Secured power means NOTHING without secured cooling. November 2025: CyrusOne data center in Illinois went down for 10 hours because ONE chiller failed. This facility handles TRILLIONS in CME trading volume. Energy, agriculture, crypto derivatives markets frozen globally. Why? Because AI racks now consume 600 kW of power (enough to power 500 homes). A single rack failure creates catastrophic heat buildup. $IREN’s solution: Liquid-cooled infrastructure at all Horizon facilities. $CIFR’s solution: Turnkey air-and-liquid cooling delivery for AWS. Hyperscalers aren’t paying billions for “power connections.” They’re paying for THERMAL RELIABILITY. The Numbers That Matter: > PJM capacity prices: 10x increase from 2024 to 2025 (extreme scarcity signal) > Interconnection costs in Louisiana/Missouri: $900,000+ per MW > $64 billion in U.S. data center projects blocked or delayed in 2024-2025 > 25+ major data center projects canceled in 2025 alone The grid is saturated. The timeline is broken. The infrastructure doesn’t exist. But $CIFR and $IREN? They already own the infrastructure. They already have the grid connections. They already have the hyperscaler contracts. The Bottom Line: > AI demand is doubling every 90 days. > Grid capacity takes 5-7 years to build. > You can’t close that gap with announcements. Breaking: Elon Musk has sued OpenAI for $134 Billion. Prediction markets have priced the odds of Elon winning at 59% as of today. This may be alarming. If OpenAI loses this: Markets may trigger a contagion across the AI ecosystem tied to OpenAI. $AMD or $CRWV and companies like $ORCL (Stargate) to $MSFT are massive losers as they're heavily levered to OpenAI. Then there's third order effects on companies as $APLD and $CORZ involved to Coreweave. Same goes with $AMD partners, such as $RIOT. For example: 1. Microsoft / Oracle -> Write down billions in investment, buildout + GPU utilization lag would cost billions 2. CoreWeave -> Massive risk to backlog revenue, utilization lag + already at risk due to massive debt interest 3. APLD / CORZ -> Depend on Coreweave for revenue, if the tenant goes down, so does their near term revenue. If OpenAI are forced to pay massive damages, return to a strict non-profit status, or declare bankruptcy due to liquidity crises (and cannot fulfill its contractual obligations): This might trigger a contagion event across many AI sector names tied to OpenAI. Of course this is the worst case scenario. My expectation is middle ground: -> Musk wins the trial (or forces a settlement just before the verdict). -> OpenAI is forced to pay a massive fine (e.g., $10B–$20B) and possibly open-source its older models -> $MSFT likely steps in to pay the fine or restructure the debt since there's too much at stake. Or in the 41% chance Musk loses: nothing happens, and companies tied to OpenAI will be fine. However it looks markets already priced in a lot of that uncertainty with OpenAI contagion risk with Oracle ($330 -> $195) and Coreweave ($150 -> $101). This lawsuit is definitely one of the biggest events markets are watching.

When I first started researching the Bitcoin miners, I thought $RIOT, $MARA, and $CLSK were the best miners. At the time, they were by far the most popular stocks in the sector. As I continued researching with the intention of opening a position, it became clear that $IREN was the best. Back then, the company was still called Iris Energy, and not many people knew about it outside of the mining community on X. Fast forward to today, and IREN has completely outclassed MARA, CLSK, and RIOT. The way IREN came in and dominated the Bitcoin mining sector is the same way I think the company will dominate the Neocloud/AI infrastructure sector.

🚨 What’s going on with neo-clouds right now? $NBIS $CRWV $APLD $CORZ $CIFR $IREN This corner of AI infrastructure has been hit hard. Not because demand for AI compute disappeared, but because capital got more expensive, buildouts got heavier, and the market repriced long-dated infrastructure risk. A lot of these names moved together on the way down. It could get confusing so I wanted to categorize these companies a bit and show how I view them “Neo-clouds” has turned into a catch-all label for companies building AI compute outside the hyperscalers. The businesses underneath it vary widely. Some sell GPU compute directly. Some sell power and buildings. Some are converting legacy infrastructure. Some own future capacity. Same demand tailwind. Very different operating realities. I like to break these into 4 groups - First group: full GPU clouds $NBIS $CRWV These companies run the compute. They own large GPU fleets, operate the software layer, and sell AI capacity directly to customers. Their results depend on execution at scale. Power coming online on schedule matters. Utilization tracking capacity ramps matters. Margins settling as deployments grow matters. $NBIS brings a vertically integrated cloud stack with tight control over hardware, software, and deployment. $CRWV brings scale, deep customer relationships, and an ability to deploy large clusters quickly. Both benefit directly when AI demand stays firm. Second group: infrastructure and hosting platforms $CORZ $CIFR $APLD $WULF $WYFI These companies focus on power, land, cooling, and uptime. Their role is to deliver capacity to AI and HPC tenants under long-duration agreements. Revenue shows up when megawatts get energized and contracts go live. With the right structure, demand risk sits closer to the tenant than the infrastructure owner. This creates a very different operating profile from running a cloud. Third group: active transitions from mining to AI $IREN $BTDR $HUT These names already have live AI operations alongside legacy assets. They own or operate GPUs, host workloads, and generate AI-related revenue today, while continuing to reposition older infrastructure. What matters here is conversion speed. How quickly power, capital, and operating focus move into AI compute shows up directly in results. Progress varies across the group. Fourth group: power optionality $CLSK $RIOT These companies control large power footprints and have outlined substantial development pipelines. Much of the value today sits in future capacity rather than active AI compute. Outcomes depend on interconnect timelines, customer commitments, and how quickly projects move from planning to build. This bucket behaves differently from capacity that’s already live. ... Across all of this, the real separation shows up in where risk lives. Who owns the GPUs. Who controls the power. Who gets paid when demand softens. Who needs ongoing access to capital to keep building. Those answers vary widely, even when prices move together. This is what I’m watching as the space evolves: MW that actually get energized. Contracts that turn into revenue. Utilization once systems are live. Capex pacing relative to financing. Cooling and rack-density readiness for next-gen deployments. Customer concentration as scale increases. Important to note: the goal of this post is just to help categorize the different companies that are often talked about on X. This post does not intend to highlight all the strengths or weaknesses or nuances or all the offerings of each of these companies. I currently only have a position in 2 of these companies which should highlight my personal conviction. I believe there will be a couple of massive winners and many others that fall short over the long term.
