It is going to be crazy to look back in a year and see how memory prices ended up hitting consumers. After $AAPL and $MSFT both raised prices this week, there has to be a lot more coming. Here is the chain reaction. AI data centers are so hungry for memory that the makers are pulling capacity from everything else to feed them. Consumer memory gets scarce, scarce gets expensive, and the cost rolls downhill from the chipmakers to the device builders to you at checkout. $MSFT even said Xbox memory costs are up 2.5x and could double again by 2027. Right now that works perfectly. Everyone passes the cost along and the pain lands on the consumer. But at some point things get expensive enough that people just stop buying. They keep the old phone, skip the console, hold the laptop another year. That is when it cracks. The twist is the AI buyers do not care. A hyperscaler does not stop buying data center memory because a MacBook went up $200. So you get a wild split screen. Consumers priced out on one side, hyperscalers paying anything for AI memory on the other. If $AAPL and $MSFT are already raising prices now, this is just the start. A year from now, seeing how far it spread is going to be interesting.

The market is underappreciating that $MSFT already owns the enterprise workflow layer where AI adoption is likely to happen. Workers already live inside Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, GitHub and Azure which gives Microsoft a built-in distribution advantage as AI gets embedded across the enterprise. Copilot is still early but the numbers are getting more meaningful with over 20M paid seats, paid seat additions up 250% YoY and customers with more than 50K seats quadrupling YoY Every 10M Copilot seats at ~$30 per user per month represents ~$3.6B of annualized revenue so if Copilot scales to 100M seats over the next several years then it becomes a major software revenue layer on top of Microsoft 365.

The bigger shift is that Microsoft may move from only monetizing users to monetizing work where companies eventually pay not just for employee licenses but for the AI work being performed around each employee. It is getting hard to see where the memory bears are even coming from after today. In a single day, Apple and Microsoft both raised hardware prices and blamed the same thing. Memory. $AAPL raised prices on Macs, iPads, and even the Vision Pro, with some models jumping 15 to 25%. They said it plainly, the cause is the unprecedented surge in memory and storage costs from AI data center demand. Apple, the company with more supply chain power than anyone on earth, finally could not absorb it anymore. Then $MSFT raised Xbox console prices, $100 on the 512GB and $150 on the 1TB, effective August 1. And buried in their statement was the number that should end the bear debate. Xbox said console storage and memory prices have increased more than 2.5x, and they expect them to double again by the fall of 2027. The companies actually buying the memory are telling you prices have already 2.5x’d and are set to double again next year. That is not a forecast from a bull on Twitter. That is Microsoft, writing it down, while raising prices to deal with it. Stack it up. Apple raising prices. Microsoft raising Xbox prices. Sony already raised the PS5. Samsung and Dell raising too. DRAM and NAND up over 300% since 2023. Micron exited consumer memory entirely to feed AI customers. New fabs do not arrive until 2027. The entire bear case rests on memory being cyclical and rolling over. But every buyer in the market is raising prices because they cannot get enough, the makers are sold out and signing multi year contracts, and the biggest console maker on earth just told you to expect another doubling in 2027. Where exactly is the roll over coming from? When Apple and Microsoft raise prices on the same day because of memory, the pricing power lives entirely with the people who make it.

There's still a whole group of investors out there who think that $MSFT is Windows. Those will be surprised when Azure grows to over 50% of revenues in the coming years, which is a phenomenal business. The more Microsoft's revenues will shift to Azure, the more the market will reward the stock with a higher multiple. Azure is one of the clearest winners of agentic AI in my view, as all enterprise cloud apps and cloud data systems basically run on either AWS or Azure. Also, free OS like all the Linux versions have been available for decades. Google has made a free alternative to Office available for decades now (Google Workspace). Even software like Windows and Excel is harder to disrupt than people think. Most people just don't want to retrain on another system just to save a few dollars, which may or may not be able to do everything they can do in Windows or Excel.

Microsoft’s June 2, 2026 MAI announcement should be interpreted less as a discrete model-launch event and more as a strategic declaration that Microsoft intends to own more of the AI production stack: data sourcing, pretraining, post-training, reinforcement-learning environments, application-specific tuning, inference optimization, safety systems, silicon co-design, and distribution through Microsoft 365, GitHub, Azure Foundry, Dynamics, VS Code, Teams, and partner developer platforms. The announcement of 7 new MAI models across reasoning, coding, image generation, image editing, transcription, and voice synthesis indicates an explicit shift from dependence on third-party frontier models toward a portfolio model in which Microsoft can use OpenAI and other external models where they remain advantaged, while routing high-volume, enterprise-specific, latency-sensitive, and cost-sensitive workloads to in-house models. 🚨🚨The stock market is about to get hit with the biggest wave of new equity supply in years. And nobody is talking about it. Alphabet just filed an $80B equity offering. Had that landed in Q4 2025, net equity supply would have flipped from -$44B to +$40B in a single quarter. We have increased our 2026 IPO forecast from $160B to $225B. so we saw what they did to $GOOGL last year at $150 we just saw what they did to $MSFT over the past few weeks from $395 —> $460 we all know they will do the same to $META right? it is a top 10 most owned name in the market it was a top 10 bought name in Q1 from super investors if $META isn’t in the “shut up and accumulate mode” than I’m not sure what else is yes there are plenty of legit concerns…but when you are this big and global of a company…those concerns seem to be less relevant with $100B+ of operating income bought more today, hope they take her to the $550s!

Nvidia just entered the CPU market. Jensen Huang unveiled the N1X at Computex. An ARM-based CPU paired with a Blackwell GPU in a single chip called RTX Spark. Made on TSMC 3nm. MediaTek partnering on the CPU design. More than 30 laptops and 10 desktops from Microsoft, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo shipping this fall. Nvidia's claim: vastly more capable and efficient than traditional x86 processors. Better at running large AI models locally. That puts Nvidia in direct competition with Intel and AMD on their home territory. Hours after Barclays raised targets on all three, Nvidia announced a product designed to take their market share. The other announcements at Computex: Vera CPU is in full production and available this fall. OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX are early customers. Nvidia is positioning this as the next major growth driver after Blackwell. Intel showed its Crescent Island GPU aimed at inference using cheaper LPDDR5 memory instead of HBM. Limited shipments by end of 2026. Intel is trying to compete on cost where Nvidia competes on performance. Physical AI sent Korean robotics stocks limit up. LG Electronics and Doosan Robotics both hit daily limits on reports that Huang will meet with LG and Samsung executives. Naver and Nvidia reportedly in talks as well. So Ackman buys Microsoft… I know the picks and shovels plays of the AI buildout are getting all the attention, but it does feel like you could open a brokerage account… Buy $META and $MSFT… And just not look at it for the next few years and be fine. These companies are trading at historic discounts due to “Meta cannot do anything other than Ads” and “Microsoft is a software play so software should go down.” They will not provide the same short term alpha but these are two of the greatest companies on the planet…doesn’t feel that scary taking a shot on them here.

VERY important bit from the $NBIS call and the MAIN reason why they increase capex, don't ignore this! "we are building for 2027 demand, where we have customer commitments ALREADY increase" so the additional ~$5B in capex in 2026 is DIRECTLY tied to additional ARR in 2027! This is NOT the same as costs increasing. It's insanely bullish and translates to high ROI making them want to invest more aggressively and at low risk, because demand is there. If these are big partners like $MSFT or $META then this will also mean MORE pre-payments, because of the smart financing structure they are using. Will break that down one of the next posts when we get there.

Agreed high-level directionally, $FLNC compelling at $3B valuation post-earnings after taking a closer look. Very rare to see a US energy player that small get 2 direct Hyperscaler deals... The $5.6B+ backlog derisks the company growth, not including new hyperscalers backlog like $GOOGL or $MSFT. The hyperscaler deals were framework agreements, which are likely to convert "soon" Q3 this year, and aren't included in numbers. Once that's released it's major positive catalyst, similar to qualification -> volume ramp in semi players. Citi Analyst: "The possibility of a hyperscaler order will likely overshadow everything else in the quarter. We expect a positive reaction to the announcement" I'm going to go ahead and guess they'll likely rerated once they announce their hyperscaler orders maybe anytime in the next 3 months so I jumped on the boat as a short term catalyst trade. (not just 1 but 2) Also, if they hit ~$288M net income off gross-margin expansion ($6B revenue, 13.0% gross margins) from their software segment expansion, ~11.6x fwd p/e for 2027. The current stock price is -50% Feb's prices despite hyperscalers + backlog de-risking the company looks like a great entry point to me (NFA).

$MSFT is planning to reconsider or even abandon their "100/100/0" target - matching 100% of hourly electricity use with renewable energy by 2030. The AI data center buildout is simply moving too fast for renewable supply to keep up. $NVDA invested $500M into $GLW (Corning), smart move with optical fiber being one of the biggest bottlenecks in AI data centers right now. Corning expanding capacity 10x, three new U.S. plants. Both point to what I've been saying the whole time... we're accelerating faster than anyone anticipated. Bullish for the entire Neocloud sector. Again, more infrastructure needed = more power needed = more compute needed.

I agree. Codex/Claude Code each have deep harness/model codesign, and are by far the two most capable AI apps that exist today. It’s also why Elon wants Cursor. Leading AI software may well continue this trend, underscoring why $MSFT needs to develop its own frontier model.

$NBIS Mag 7 CAPEX guidance is solid af: 3 of 4 are guiding UP in the near term: Microsoft - reaccelerating Meta - aggressive increase Alphabet - steady ramp Amazon - holding extremely high levels All in all, exactly what I wanted to hear. $MSFT CAPEX came in lower than expected this quarter but that was because they basically said: “We couldn’t deploy fast enough this quarter, spending ramps next quarter.” We are in an AI arm as race.
