About Surfaced

Surfaced is a public archive of what curated FinTwit voices say about which stocks. Every cashtag mention from every tracked X account gets plotted on a price chart so each call ages publicly — anyone can see what a voice mentioned, when, and how the price moved after.

What's on the site

We track 67 active FinTwit accounts on X. Every post from those accounts gets scanned for cashtag mentions (e.g. $NVDA, $RKLB), the mentions get canonicalised (handling aliases like $TESLA → $TSLA, dual-listings like PNG.V ↔ PNG, and other edge cases), and each one lands on a per-voice page and a per-stock page.

As of today, the archive holds mentions of about 1,646 distinct US-listed tickers. New voices added through the Telegram bot start producing data within minutes; historical mentions go back 12 months.

What it's for

Accountability and pattern recognition. If a voice posted $RKLB looks 5-bag from here in January, we want anyone to be able to see that post on the price chart in June and form their own opinion about the call. If a voice has been mentioning $NVDA every week for two years, that's pattern worth seeing.

Surfaced doesn't editorialise. We don't rank voices by "accuracy", we don't pick winners, and we don't sell tips. We surface the archive and let it speak for itself.

What it isn't

Not financial advice. Surfaced is a research and visualisation tool. We don't recommend stocks. We don't endorse voices. We don't predict price moves. Every page on the site carries this disclaimer for a reason.

Not an investment newsletter. Surfaced has a separate sub-product called Brief — a weekly personalised stock-intelligence email — but that's a distinct product. The voice archive is free, public, and permanent.

Not exhaustive. The 67-voice list is curated, not comprehensive. There are thousands of FinTwit accounts; we pick ones with consistent quality of discussion. Suggest a voice via the “Suggest @handle” button on /voices.

How it's built

Data comes from TwitterAPI.io for tweet ingest, Yahoo Finance + Alpha Vantage for price data, and a custom canonicalisation pipeline for cashtag aliasing. The ingest runs on a nightly schedule.

Who's behind it

Surfaced is built solo by Alex Davidovich. The site is open about its data sources, its limitations, and its methodology.
