It is likely that the bit exchange rate increases further in subsequent HBM5/HBM5E generations. Every incremental 1TB of HBM4E demand likely crowds out >4TB of commodity DRAM-equivalent wafer bit output. That is the mechanism by which GAI/HBM tightens the whole DRAM complex, not just HBM pricing. —--———-——— For HBM4E, use roughly 4-5x as the DRAM bit exchange rate, where “exchange rate” means commodity DRAM wafer-bit capacity consumed per delivered HBM bit/GB. Public source trail: • SemiAnalysis says HBM is ~3x commodity DRAM wafer capacity per bit today, could widen to nearly 4x at HBM4, and “even larger” at HBM4E. • TrendForce-indexed language says 1GB of HBM consumes 4x standard DRAM capacity. • Micron/industry snippets put HBM3E at ~3x DDR5 wafer supply for the same bits. That logic die gets increasingly sophisticated itself with every generation. Additionally, the market doesn't appreciate how complex it is to stack, what will soon be 16 high, DRAM waffers with TSVs. It is absolutely not a commodity business. No new player is starting an $NVDA Rubin-qualified HBM line at any point in the near future.

$MU $DRAM My thoughts on Samsung Pre-Earnings: Over-Reaction. First, remember Samsung is a conglomerate made up of Foundry, Electronics, and other segments. Samsung's pre-earnings numbers were stellar. Revenue missed by roughly 0.7%, well within the margin of error, of the average across multiple analyst estimates. EPS beat by a much larger margin. The market does not care, and of course Mr. Market overreacts, not accounting for the fact that Samsung is a conglomerate made up of Foundry, Electronics, and other segments that can all pull the headline numbers in different directions. SK Hynix remains the better indicator for a pure memory play.

Operating profit KRW 89.4 trillion, 2% above consensus. Operating margin 52.3%, up from 43% in Q1. Revenue grew 28% sequentially and 129% year over year. Operating profit grew 1,810% year over year. Read that again. A company that grew operating profit 1,810% year over year with a 52.3% operating margin is being sold off because revenue missed by less than 1%. The selloff across memory today: Samsung: -6.9% SNDK: -8.0% WDC: -8.2% SK Hynix: -6.1% MU: -5.4% STX: -5.3% Three factors are driving the move. Breaking News: Samsung Foundry is reportedly in talks with Meta for a $6.5 billion contract to manufacture the 3rd-generation MTIA AI accelerator on its 2nm process. The first two generations of MTIA were manufactured by TSMC. This would be the first time Meta moves custom silicon production away from TSMC. The reason is not performance. It is capacity. TSMC's 2nm is fully booked by Apple, NVIDIA, and AMD through 2027. The waitlist extends into 2028-2029. Meta plans to release a new AI chip every six months to support 5-gigawatt data centers by 2030. That cadence requires guaranteed capacity that TSMC cannot provide right now. Samsung's 2nm pricing is reportedly 30% cheaper than TSMC. For a $6.5 billion order, that is nearly $2 billion in savings over the contract life. Meta is not switching for loyalty. It is switching for economics and availability. The bigger picture is what Samsung Foundry is assembling. Tesla's AI chip order came first. Then Anthropic, which Samsung invested in as a strategic infrastructure partner during the $65 billion Series H round. Now Meta. Samsung's medium to long-term foundry order backlog is approaching 50 trillion won ($37 billion). Its 4nm capacity is sold out. Some 8nm lines are near full capacity. Samsung Foundry was losing share to TSMC for years. The 2nm node is where the turnaround is happening. An operating profit in the foundry division could arrive as early as Q4 2026 if these orders convert. Meta's chip roadmap tells you the iteration speed: MTIA 300 in production, MTIA 400 deploying in data centers, MTIA 450 launching early 2027, MTIA 500 close behind. A new generation every six months. Each one manufactured at scale. That requires multiple foundry relationships, not TSMC exclusivity. The competitive read: every dollar Meta spends on custom MTIA silicon is a dollar not spent on NVIDIA GPUs. Every foundry slot Samsung fills with Meta or Anthropic or Tesla ASICs is a slot that does not go to NVIDIA's merchant silicon. The custom chip trend is accelerating and Samsung is positioning itself as the capacity alternative when TSMC is full. $MU $DRAM Fab output capability right now is like owning a gold mine. The market hasn't fully figured this out yet. $ARM could only lock in supply for 50% of its $2B backlog. Down 9%. $INTC is up big despite weak earnings. Why? They still have unutilized fab capacity. $TSLA @elonmusk is building a Terafab. Ask yourself why. For the next 5 to 7 years, if you don't secure fab allocation, your company is done. You cannot sell a chip designed on paper. It needs to be designed in silicon.

Why I would buy $AAOI over $NBIS here is purely sentiment (though I think both are a really good dip buy here!) I think this $META news is interpreted wrong by the market. I don't see how it would be bearish for AI names $AAOI $NBIS and memory names like $MU $SNDK $DRAM are the ones I would buy on this dip, but if I had to pick just one it would probably be $AAOI here Simply because it has been sold off already from mid 200s to ~140 now, compared to memory where a bad sentiment might be more impactful given that they are still near ATH And neoclouds like $NBIS have the most direct sentiment hit on the $META news. A lot of people are framing it like $META is now a competitor or is going to cancel large deals. That being said, expecting all of those names to bounce soon and think it is best to add to multiple names regardless TLDR; buy the dips

One call costs about $2,500. 2. To make $25,000, that option needs to trade near $250 per share. 3. Since the strike is $100, $DRAM likely needs to trade around: $100 strike + $250 option value = ~$350 DRAM Current DRAM is around $75. $MU $DRAM $SNDK 6th type of idiot showed up today: "China will flood the memory supply." Flood it with what? A drought? Sanctions have cut off access to cutting edge equipment. They can't make HBM. Can't make SOCAMM. No Advanced Packaging. No EUV access. No path to leading edge nodes. No advanced AI server memory at scale. Meanwhile, Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, and Huawei Cloud are all actively signing long term agreements with Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron for HBM and advanced server DRAM. Domestic supply cannot support their AI training clusters. If China could flood the market, their own cloud providers wouldn't be raining in Korea and the US. I've spoken
