Seeing a lot of (justified) talks about directed energy weapons, or laser weapons, on X lately. Seems like an obvious next sector to benefit. The Iran war shows everyone how bad the economics of defending against drones and missiles are right now. Lasers fix this. This is why I am heavily invested into $EOS.AX https://t.co/kbsCmZgw8X is a great way to play this. ITAR free is a huge factor for them, as the US relations with the rest of the world are deteriorating fast. The middle east will need to ramp up defensive capabilities very quickly. EOS has been receiving a lot of orders this month already. $LASR is another great long here. True industry leader with vertical integration and the highest power lasers. But the issue with laser weapons is the weather. For the technology to work effectively, you need clear skies, no clouds, no rain, no dust. Highly risky to rely on in areas of conflict where the technology can save your life or give the enemy the victory. This is why laser systems are typically sold together with kinetic and explosive defense systems. The laser is the go-to weapon when possible, but you can never rely on it. Is there any technology to fix this? Enter the rail gun. A rail gun works by generating electromagnetic forces through the rails of the barrel of the gun. This then forces a normal projectile to pass through at incredible speeds. It does not care about the weather and has great range. Where laser weapons take the energy to shoot it up in a beam, rail guns use the energy to charge rails and force cheap projectiles at extreme speeds. While explosive-powered military guns cannot readily achieve a muzzle velocity of more than ≈2 km/s (Mach 5.9), railguns can readily exceed 3 km/s (Mach 8.8). The issue with rail guns is ship installment and the railgun itself. The system generates so much power and force that firing even a couple of bullets damages the system. Maintenance after a few shots does not work in battle. Highly impractical. There is only one country that has fixed this by adapting their system. Japan. Japan has successfully installed a railgun on the JS Asuka, and is able to fire over 120 rounds with minimal damage. This makes the system exponentially more viable than previous iterations. This would be a great weapon for the future. The economics of laser systems paired with reliability of conventional defense systems. If the technology can improve to be even more reliable, it seems like a gamechanger. But right now, it remains limited. How can be benefit from this technological shift? Japan Steel Works is named as the primary contractor on this programme by the Japanese military. It trades under 5631.T at a roughly $4B market cap. Not a pure play unfortunately, but still interesting. $EOS.AX $5631.T $LASR

Or... instead of spending billions on "cheaper missiles". Since blowing $3-4M Patriots to down cheap drones isn't working. We start to do more research and deploy Energy Directed Weapons like $LASR and HPM? With HEL (High Energy Lasers): It's a beam of light... pew pew. $3.50 per shot. With HPM (High Powered Microwaves) - It's a cone of energy for drone swarms. Maybe ~$0.05 per burst? Ammo is basically free and infinite. Even though $LMT and $RTX are developing these too... it's like we just keep buying expensive missiles to line their pockets at this point. More funding around this infinite ammo new tech, instead used for all those missiles... Probably could have made energy weapons better by now (eg. fixing problems with dwell time, weather changes, range, power). Firing billions of dollars of missiles at cheap drones clearly is not sustainable for extended conflicts in Iran.

@frsinvesting $LASR is different than drone sector stocks, since energy directed weapons have a massive use case now from Iron Beam live usage. The main question is if they're the contractor for golden dome expansion or not. I'm just waiting for news surrounding that.

X has been hyping $LASR as the laser defense play of the cycle. I understand why. Up 600% in a year, 71% revenue growth, defense now 85% of revenue. It is a real company with real momentum. But let me show you why $EOS.AX is a different conversation entirely. $LASR is a laser component supplier. They make the beam. They sell it to someone else who builds the weapon system. Their Q1 2026 revenue guide is $70 to $76 million. Full year 2025 revenue was $261 million. Still unprofitable on a GAAP basis. CEO sold shares in March. No unconditional backlog disclosed. $162 million in backlog total. $EOS.AX builds, owns, and sells the complete weapon system. Not a component. The full platform. Slinger counter-drone. APOLLO high energy laser. End to end, from the beam to the trigger. They control the entire value chain and capture the entire margin. A$459 million in unconditional backlog. A$10B+ pipeline. FY2026 revenue guidance A$180 to A$230 million and scaling. US$45 million in new orders. Active discussions with multiple Middle Eastern governments on APOLLO right now. Manufacturing already at capacity. And the export angle is what $LASR simply cannot match. $EOS.AX sits in a category of one. The only non-US, non-Israeli company Europe and the Middle East can legally buy exportable directed energy weapon systems from. Export controls shut every American competitor out of those conversations. $LASR sells components into the US defense industrial base. $EOS.AX sells complete systems to sovereign governments who have no other legal option. $LASR is a good company riding a real wave. $EOS.AX is building a monopoly.

Here’s why I love $EOS.AX and why it’s better than the main laser stock getting all the attention on X right now. $LASR nLIGHT has been the talk of X. Here’s the comparison. $LASR: $3.5B market cap. $261M revenue. 30% gross margins. Still losing money. ITAR restricted on every international sale. $EOS.AX: $1.3B market cap. A$180-230M 2026 guidance. 63% gross margins. Approaching breakeven. A$459M unconditional backlog. $LASR trades at 12x 2026 revenue with negative margins. $EOS.AX trades at 5x 2026 revenue with 63% gross margins and a A$10B+ pipeline that is 8x its entire market cap. But the part X is completely missing is the export angle $LASR is a US company. ITAR restrictions apply to every international sale. Every NATO ally, every European government has to navigate US export control law to buy their product. $EOS.AX is Australian. There is exactly one non-US, non-Israeli company that Europe can legally procure exportable laser weapons from without those restrictions. Europe just committed €800B to rearmament. The only unrestricted supplier is sitting at a $1.3B USD market cap. The market is paying 3x more for the inferior business.

Looking back, should have had more Energy Directed Weapon exposure. Especially with America’s Golden Dome laser defense giving $LASR practically exponential TAM. There’s only two companies I’ve seen: $RKLB back in the 10’s for reusable rockets and infinite space TAM And $LASR for laser beams that go pew pew to hypersonic missiles and rockets That I would buy and hold like a meme stock just based on raw, unadulterated badass tech. It definitely helps that I’ve seen videos of Nlight laser beams shoot down rockets from the Iron Beam yesterday.

This video could change everything for $LASR Every investor will now want to own the stock. Every country will now want this technology. I know a bunch of nerds on X have talked about this stock for a while, but that's not the same as it being in the center of potential World War 3 and getting global attention. Everyone has now seen "IT WORKS" on a real battlefield. And DAMN does it look cool and futuristic. I know the stock already looks like it's gone vertical, but I think this could pull a "Rheinmetall" $RHM move. Am willing to take a position here and look very stupid for potentially buying the top, but feel like the potential for an explosive run is just too high for me to potentially miss out on it...

$LASR Energy Directed Weapons from the Iron Beam. Is probably the single largest beneficiary and validation from the US / Israel vs. Iran conflict. Hezbollah Fired Rockets into Israel. -> $LASR (Nlight) laser engine inside of Rafael's Iron Beam shot them down. It's absolutely wild to see it in action. Lot of defense funds will now probably be pouring into Energy Directed Weapons in the near future given validation just now. Especially to zap down hypersonic missiles with the HELSI initiative. There's a few large player exposure like $DRS or $RTX but there's only one $3.1B MC pure-play energy directed weapons stock. Which also happens to be a known critical supplier for the Iron Beam. Ended up taking positions in $LASR at $3B MC.

$LASR CEO Dropped Insight @ Cowen Yesterday Here are some notes/updates focused on defense... I touched on (most) of these points in detail in the report I linked - Core focus in directed energy, sensing, then advanced manufacturing. High power lasers critical for each. - In directed energy, wide range of applications. Basically use a laser to transfer energy, to damage, to degrade and destroy various threats. Range from low power counter drone to high power (group 3) drones, rockets, artillery etc. all the way to missiles. Then theres also strategic applications for air-based and space applications. - Keep stressing vertical integration significance. Primarily because technically is evolving rapidly and that helps them iterate and develop faster. And theres costs with traditional transactions. - Discussed SBC vs CBC. They do both, but for higher power apps, they believe CBC is a better path. With CBC youre able to scale to higher power levels, get a brighter source, and adjust for atmospheric effects (I broke all of this down further in the report) - Said they have the highest power laser in the world right now (300kw). Scaling to 1MW right now. - More interest in market for high power lasers. - You hear about different power levels for different lasers around the world, but it’s not just about power. They could have limitations like not being as bright, not adjusting for atmosphere, power being insufficient etc. - With nLight’s laser, dwell time on target does down and distance increases. This is why pentagon is focusing on CBC. - Stated they work with all the agencies and all key services. - They sell to primes and work with all of the primes. - Need for directed energy is ‘pressing’. End market is real. - Cash reserves over $250 million. Wanted a big cash position because, basically its go time. - Talked about golden dome needing both directed energy and sensing.

If $LASR can deliver a 1-megawatt class laser the implications are significant. That power tier moves directed energy beyond drone defense and into strategic air and missile defense missions. The DoD is funding megawatt-scale systems aimed at engaging cruise-missile-class targets and other hardened aerial threats, where interceptor inventories and reload timelines become real constraints. The more I dig into $LASR the more I am blown away Here is an excerpt from the report I'm writing up: The U.S. Department of Defense is currently pushing to scale laser power from the 50kW level used for small drones to the 1-megawatt (MW) milestone. Reaching 1MW is considered the holy grail because it enables the interception of hardened cruise missiles and supersonic threats. nLIGHT is currently executing a $171 million HELSI Phase 2 contract specifically to reach this power level using its modular architecture. nLIGHT’s competitive moat is its Coherent Beam Combining (CBC) technology. While competitors like Lockheed Martin use Spectral Beam Combining" (SBC) (combining different wavelengths), nLIGHT phases multiple beams of the same wavelength. This requires nanosecond-level phase matching, a significantly harder physics problem, but it allows for a narrower spectral footprint and superior adaptive optics performance. Really looking forward to sharing this as soon as it's done

$LASR (NLight), a $2.2B US company does these directed energy weapons. They build the "Death Ray" - Lasers that shoot down ballistic and hypersonic missiles. This can be adapted to Orbital death rays beaming from Space down to Earth. Israel's Iron Beam system (Laser Air Defense) uses NLight too. So if you want to invest in Directed Energy Weapons, $LASR is the purest play.

Another qualitative one I've been thinking about a lot. If $LASR can effectively develop the 1MW weapon, which may be enough to neutralize hypersonic missiles, they possibly change the game theory behind nuclear mutually assured destruction. I know this ticker is popular here on X, so I'm not at all early, but how much is the only public investment vehicle that can play a key role in fundamentally changing the dynamics of nuclear warfare actually worth to the USA? A fck ton more than 2.25B that's for sure
