$INFQ / $LMT: Lockheed Martin Sees GPS And Quantum Navigation Working Together Lockheed Martin is positioning quantum navigation as a backup and companion to GPS, aiming to give military users more precise location data when satellite signals are blocked, jammed or spoofed. The company said that the future of positioning, navigation and timing, or PNT, will depend on a mix of technologies rather than satellites alone. GPS remains the foundation, but Lockheed Martin is investing in quantum sensors that could help aircraft, ships, vehicles and other defense platforms keep track of their position when satellite signals are unreliable or unavailable. The effort reflects a growing concern across defense and aerospace: GPS is essential, but it is also vulnerable. Satellite navigation signals can be weakened by buildings, terrain or weather. In military settings, they can also be targeted by electronic warfare systems designed to jam or mislead receivers. According to Lockheed Martin, quantum navigation could strengthen that system by adding sensors that do not depend on satellite signals. These devices use quantum effects, the behavior of atoms and particles at extremely small scales, to measure motion, acceleration and changes in direction with high precision. $RKLB / $SPCX / $LMT Rocket Lab, Lockheed Martin among the partners in SpaceX's military space-laser project By Christine Ji (MarketWatch) - Government documents show a lineup of defense contractors joining SpaceX to create a satellite network to track airborne threats The U.S. government is tapping both of the country's biggest launch providers, Rocket Lab and SpaceX, for its Space-Based Airborne Moving Target Indicator (SB-AMTI) program. Rocket Lab, Lockheed Martin and L3 Harris Technologies are among a group of eight aerospace and defense companies sharing a multibillion-dollar military vendor pool with SpaceX for a new space defense program, government documents show. Last month, Space Systems Command - an organization under the U.S. Space Force - announced that it had awarded SpaceX (SPCX) a $4.16 billion contract for the Space-Based Airborne Moving Target Indicator (SB-AMTI) program. The Space Force, a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces under the Department of the Air Force, had previously indicated that there were a total of nine vendors in the pool. According to government records posted on the federal government's procurement portal managed by the General Services Administration, Rocket Lab, York Space Systems, Visto 360 AI, Wildstar and Systems & Technology Research received contracts valued at $10,000 each under the SB-AMTI initiative. The records were first flagged on social media by space investor Jacob Keeton and a user of the social-media platform X posting under the handle @ trypto_tran. Government records also showed that Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and L3 Harris received contracts for $6,666 each under the SB-AMTI initiative. All nine SB-AMTI contracts were signed between March 23 and March 25 of this year and run until March 2031. A Space Force spokesperson told MarketWatch that Space Systems Command could neither confirm nor deny the vendor identities due to national-security interests. Representatives for SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, L3Harris Technologies, Systems & Technology Research, Wildstar and Visto 360 AI did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MarketWatch. York Space Systems said that it could not confirm or deny any information about the contract posted on the government website. SpaceX's contract shows that the ultimate scope of the SB-AMTI program - which aims to implement a space-based sensing layer to track and target airborne threats - extends far beyond the Pentagon's initial $4.16 billion disclosure. SpaceX secured $2.637 billion in total obligations in March, with the agreement's maximum potential contract value capping at $9.34 billion. The other eight vendors' total obligations of $10,000 and $6,666 are placeholder allocations designed to grant them a position in the vendor pool. Traditionally, the U.S. military has tracked airborne threats, such as missiles and drones, by flying aircraft over areas of interest. However, the rapid proliferation of advanced antiaircraft missiles by foreign adversaries has diminished the effectiveness of this strategy. This SB-AMTI award is projected to deploy a constellation of satellites in low-Earth orbit by 2028 to continuously monitor global airspace and eliminate operational blind spots. Satellites with advanced sensors will sweep through airspace to pick up information that traditional airborne radars can't read, then beam the data through a laser-linked orbital mesh network directly to meet warfighter needs. SpaceX and Rocket Lab are the two biggest launch-services providers in the U.S., and also provide end-to-end satellite manufacturing services. $ONDS | Drone and counter-drone technology is, in many ways, still a “blue ocean” opportunity, in my opinion. As @CeoOndas has said repeatedly, what we’re about to see unfold is a 10+ year buildout of this industry. We’re probably in year 1 or 2 of that right now. Adequate supply chains to deploy, or defend against, hundreds of thousands (or millions) of drones do not currently exist. Every modern conflict - like those in Ukraine, the Middle East, etc. - have shown that drones are front & center, and only becoming more relevant. We’re now seeing major defense primes spending vast sums of capital to build out this supply chain. As I mention at the end of my post below, $LMT invested $25M in Fortem just to increase their radar manufacturing capacity - a single sensor Lockheed integrates into their Sanctum C-UAS platform. It’s not enough for a few dozen suppliers to build & deploy several hundred drones, or counter-drone systems, each year. Western governments will require drone manufacturing capacities in the millions. The need to defend against these threats will be just as high. This is all new. Modern combat is naturally gravitating towards this tech. And billions are presently beginning to flood the space. @CeoOndas has, I believe, accurately predicted that the heavily fragmented drone economy of today will eventually consolidate into just a dozen or so large companies - with $ONDS being one of them. It won’t happen this month, or this year, but I feel it’s inevitable that $ONDS becomes a clear long-term winner in this nascent industry. I’m as bullish as ever, but please do your own research. Sentrycs' Cyber-over-RF tech will be integrated into Sanctum, Lockheed Martin's next-gen C-UAS solution designed to protect against unmanned aerial threats. Sanctum already has a lot of capability. It combines multiple sensors, effectors, and C2 systems, with access to artificial intelligence and cloud-enabled data, into a unified platform that can defeat drone swarms and other evasive UAS threats. Sentrycs' solution will add a precise cyber-based detection and mitigation layer to Sanctum's multi-domain architecture. Sentrycs' ability to detect, identify, track, and take control of unauthorized drones without jamming, spoofing, kinetic engagement, or collateral interference was something Sanctum was missing. $LMT is one of the largest defense companies in the world. This is a huge step forward for $ONDS. Notably, $LMT invested $25 million in Fortem Technologies, an Ondas competitor in some areas, to scale up production of their TrueView radars which are also integrated into Sanctum. This signals they’re preparing for high order volumes of the Sanctum C-UAS platform. Or... instead of spending billions on "cheaper missiles". Since blowing $3-4M Patriots to down cheap drones isn't working. We start to do more research and deploy Energy Directed Weapons like $LASR and HPM? With HEL (High Energy Lasers): It's a beam of light... pew pew. $3.50 per shot. With HPM (High Powered Microwaves) - It's a cone of energy for drone swarms. Maybe ~$0.05 per burst? Ammo is basically free and infinite. Even though $LMT and $RTX are developing these too... it's like we just keep buying expensive missiles to line their pockets at this point. More funding around this infinite ammo new tech, instead used for all those missiles... Probably could have made energy weapons better by now (eg. fixing problems with dwell time, weather changes, range, power). Firing billions of dollars of missiles at cheap drones clearly is not sustainable for extended conflicts in Iran.

$LMT x $KRKNF Lockheed Martin just teased "Lamprey" It's a subsea drone that latches onto ships and submarines like an eel, hitching rides to operating areas. It can launch aerial drones, torpedoes, and decoys, or just sit on the seabed waiting. This is extremely bullish for underwater autonomy as a whole, but it's very possible $KRKNF will grow and profit on this program. Kraken's sonar was previously integrated into LMT's Marlin AUVs. Lamprey should follow that precedent. Kraken MAY supply batteries too, but I really don't think they have the capacity with what they need to get done for Anduril.

Bullish $ONDS 🐂 This will only affect larger contractors such as $LMT (-2%), $NOC (-2.2%). Ondas doesn’t pay dividends, nor does it have a stock repurchase programme and @CeoOndas doesn’t have a massive compensation package. Smaller, agile firms such as Ondas will thrive off this announcement.
