Flex LNG $FLNG reported. I think the spike in LNG spot rates and Flex signing a couple charters then, saved them from a dividend cut in 2026. The P/S of the LNG wave dropped to 2.78. Just below the wave average of 2.85. This is mainly due to ADNOC that lost 11% of its market cap and is the biggest company in the wave. Other companies like $LNG and $VG are growing by 20% in revenues and market cap. The total revenues of the LNG wave grew by 16% QoQ and 45% YoY. The market cap grew 5% QoQ and 40% YoY. I think LNG is a safe option in the energy transition. Companies are growing with 45% YoY which is the most of all industries. I expect the P/S to rise above the average again next quarter.

Honestly... the most obvious ideas like long $LNG. Or going long on $CVX. Are probably the best ones instead of contrarian longs in Wartime? Especially with low 18-30 IV, this would have easily been a few hundred percent gain by now. There’s probably a lot more for oil and LNG exporters to run if tensions escalate.

@Evan_ss6 Extremely solid multi-year long (eg. 3-5 years) for $NEXT, especially when capacity is sold out already. LNG production is first half of 2027 though? Though I do think the sector as a whole will get attention. The main beneficiaries of Iran are the LNG exporters like $LNG now backstopping the rest of the world though.

🚨 Taiwan has ONLY ELEVEN days of natural gas reserves. Taiwan runs 53% of its power grid on natural gas. Qatar supplied 33% of that gas through Hormuz. That route is now totally DISRUPTED! Japan has 3 weeks. South Korea has a month. Taiwan has eleven days, the LOWEST buffer in East Asia. The government has secured supply through April. May is being worked on. June is an open question. And summer electricity demand in Taiwan is 40% higher than it is right now. Here’s what this means for semiconductors: Gas-fired plants generate more than 53% of Taiwan’s power. TSMC alone consumes roughly 8% of the entire national grid, rising toward 12.5% by year end. $TSM controls 70% of global chip foundry capacity and near-monopoly on the bleeding-edge nodes that power EVERY ai system on earth. The hyperscalers committed $660-700B in AI capex for 2026. Every dollar of that ASSUMES $TSM keeps the lights on. Here’s where the real plays are: 1. $LNG (Cheniere Energy) Taiwan is reorienting its entire energy supply chain toward the US. Cheniere is the direct beneficiary. 2. $AMAT $LRCX $KLAC Every day this crisis continues, the case for accelerating US and Japanese fab buildouts gets stronger. Equipment orders are being front-loaded. Geographic diversification becoming existential. 3. $INTC + TSMC Arizona Not better fabs. Not cheaper fabs. Fabs that aren’t on a grid with 11 days of gas reserves. 4. $NVDA Any TSMC production constraint tightens GPU allocation. Scarcity pricing. That’s not bearish, that’s the opposite. Watch for: → TSMC Q1 earnings, any energy commentary changes everything → Taiwan government statement on May/June LNG supply security → JKM Asia LNG benchmark price already doubled. @dfyz_ivan US/Australia and Indonesia/Malaysia can also up their exports to SK. I’m sure there’s alternatives like you mentioned. But one of the biggest catalyst was for US exporters like $LNG. However point of the data was that lot of disruption/pricing fears are overblown to SK Hynix/Samsung

3/8 The Bridge: LNG P/S: Rising to ~2.2x Revenue: Stable/High 'Bridge fuel' was the polite term used during the ESG boom. Permanent necessity is the reality of 2026. As Europe realizes it cannot de-industrialize and Asia continues to grow, LNG has become the global arbiter of energy prices. The chart shows a healthy, mature sector where valuations are rising in lockstep with the realization that natural gas is the only backup for renewables. $LNG remains the fortress balance sheet of the sector. Their long-term contracts are effectively distinct from spot price volatility. Meanwhile, infrastructure plays like $NFE and $GLNG are capitalizing on the desperate need for import terminals in emerging markets. The risk here is political (export pauses), but the demand reality is inelastic. If the wind doesn't blow in Germany, they buy American gas.
