So $MU reports earnings on Wednesday after close, 97% chance it beats. But if $MU follows the $SNDK / $AMD pattern, even a beat could see some short-lived turbulence. Or maybe people have learned their lesson this time around... Imagine selling $SNDK after its earnings volatility (lasted less than a day lol), just to watch it rally another 120%. But regardless, the structural thesis stays intact... HBM4 is ramping 2x faster than HBM3, and capacity is booked for the entirety of 2026, into 2027. Expecting any earnings volatility to be extremely short-lived. And reminder that $MU is a good indicator for AI compute demand...

$AMD is now approaching the $1T milestone, ~5.7x away from $NVDA. Initially started at more than 10x... that valuation gap is filling rapidly. Exactly what I've been calling for. The thesis was simple: $AMD is the smaller version of the same AI infrastructure story. As they execute, the market gives them more credit. And less as a "second source." That's exactly what's happening. $NVDA is undoubtedly still the leader. But $AMD has more room to grow off a smaller base. The next leg up has already started, and will accelerate even faster when MI450 interest converts to contracts. (and tbh, I don't think you can lose betting on either of them long-term)

Kevin Warsh's first FOMC as Fed Chair is this week... the most important Fed meeting of the year IMO. Markets are pricing in a hawkish hold already. If Warsh acknowledges inflation as energy-driven (U.S-Iran situation), markets will rally, especially AI infrastructure like $NVDA, $AMD, $MRVL, and more. (and yes, small caps should rally even harder) If the Fed signals more unexpected rate hikes are coming this year, expect turbulence. Hard spot for Warsh tbh. He needs to show independence (can't appear to fold to Trump's pressure)... but the cooler core inflation gives him wiggle room. He'll likely keep rates on hold and say he's waiting for more data. Either way, this is the moment that determines how soon we'll start to rally.

I genuinely believe $AMD can close that valuation gap towards $NVDA and become a ~$5T company in the future. Countries building sovereign AI infrastructure (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, EU) are explicitly choosing dual-sourcing strategies for geopolitical reasons. As sovereign AI scales, $AMD continues to scale with it, as the most credible second source to $NVDA. And soon they won't just be the second source... (I was born in Taiwan, so I am definitely biased to bet on Taiwanese CEOs like Jensen Huang and Lisa Su lol)

Gap between $AMD and $NVDA is filling nicely, around ~6.8x apart now... And my stance gets stronger. > $NVDA just reported a monster Q1 FY27. $82B revenue (+85% YoY), datacenter +92% to $75B, Q2 guide ~$90B. Jensen said "demand has gone parabolic." (meaning they're growing so fast that even a 5-10% share for $AMD is enormous) > $AMD Venice (6th gen EPYC) is now ramping production on TSMC 2nm - the first HPC product in the industry on 2nm. Verano is already lined up as the follow-on with integrated LPDDR for agentic AI workloads. > $AMD just announced $10B+ in Taiwan ecosystem investments. Advanced packaging (EFB-based 2.5D), partnerships with ASE, SPIL, Wiwynn, Wistron, Inventec. The Helios rack-scale platform with Venice + MI450X is on track for multi-gigawatt deployments starting H2 2026. > Evercore raised to $579, Citi to $460. Next catalyst is Advancing AI 2026 on July 22-23, where MI450 and Venice are expected to take center stage. $NVDA's blowout quarter isn't bad news for $AMD, it's another validation the TAM is uncapped... Hyperscalers won't single-source $700B+ in annual capex. AWS already broke the seal on MI350. MI400 ramps into a market that's still supply-constrained. $AMD is a long-term hold.

$AMD is down ~5% so far. Typical pre-earnings volatility alongside an HSBC downgrade... Wouldn't trust banking re-ratings. Classic playbook to get cheaper shares just to re-rate it higher shortly after. Fundamentals are significantly more important. Unlike $SNDK's short pullback after earnings, just to rally again, $AMD seems like it's getting that out of the way right before earnings... interesting. Structurally intact still, with no confirmed sell signals. Any dip should be pretty short-lived. Wouldn't be worried, especially if you're investing long-term.
