My story: Eczema drug from Nektar Therapeutics $NKTR maintains skin responses in one-year study https://t.co/WT9ubPD3Fe
$NKTR here we go! Rezpeg maintenance data in atopic dermatitis. The big picture: 71% of patients on monthly rezpeg maintained their induction EASI75 response at one year. 83% of patients on quarterly rezpeg achieved the same. My (non-expert) view: The results from Nektar’s maintenance study met and in some cases exceeded investor expectations — positioning rezpeg as a treatment with the potential to compete strongly against Dupixent and Ebglyst. I’m eager to hear how @A_May_MD (actual expert) sees the rezpeg maintenance study results. I assume he’ll opine shortly. I spoke to the Nektar folks last night. They are pleased, as you’d expect: “When you compare our results competitively, we’re showing better efficacy with less frequent injections,” Mary Tagliaferri, Nektar’s chief medical officer, told me. Jonathan Zalevsky, Nektar’s head of R&D, added, “I think we've shown some very differentiating features and some really deepening responses in patients that are treated with rezpeg. You want to drive as many patients to clearance of disease. And that's what reveals itself in this dataset.” Nektar is sharing a lot more data during its conference call at 8 am ET.
