$YSS: York Space Systems today announced that its second production lot of satellites for the SDA’s data network constellation is ready for imminent launch. The satellites, built to provide assured tactical communications for U.S. and Allied warfighters, are staged and prepared to launch aboard a dedicated Falcon 9. York is the first SDA Tranche 1 performer to reach launch readiness with a second production lot, following its position as the first Tranche 1 provider to ship and launch operational spacecraft. Upon launch, York's first and second production lots will represent more than 40 spacecraft delivered in support of the mission. This launch will also mark the third constellation and fifth mission York is simultaneously operating on orbit.

The mission will be executed using York’s largest and most powerful M-CLASS platform. A massive catalyst arrived today with $SIVE: Sivers announced $8.2M volume orders starting for Space applications (allspace). This is for Beamforming ICs powering Space LEO/multi-orbit satellite communication. The bigger implication is not the contract size: But that Sivers now powers a larger defense prime in $YSS following their allspace acquisition (similar to $MRVL design-in with Celestial). Which typically leads to more follow-up orders + volume contracts for Sivers, rather than just this specific contract. Turns out Sivers is also a Space/Defense supply chain chokepoint (ahead of SpaceX IPO) on top of their photonics AI DC sector lasers... This win aside, I'm expecting more volume ramps to be coming soon as well from their photonics side (looking at you Jabil + other pluggable makers)

The acquisition secures a critical space solar capability within York’s supply chain through U.S.-based manufacturing, strengthening control over a key subsystem while reducing reliance on Chinese-controlled materials and manufacturing. Upon closing, Solestial will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of York, continuing to serve customers across commercial, civil, and national security markets. $YSS: York Space Systems Secures PExT Mission Extension Through 2027 Following BARD Success York Space today announced that NASA and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) have extended operations of the Polylingual Experimental Terminal (PExT) demonstration through 2027, following the successful completion of BARD mission objectives in 2025. The 12-month extension enables an expanded series of demonstrations throughout 2026 and into early 2027. Planned activities include increased interoperability testing and direct-to-Earth (DTE) communications with commercial ground service providers, supporting near real-time commanding, telemetry, and science data transfer options for future science and operational missions.
