The US financial services companies most positively exposed to the generative AI infrastructure buildout are concentrated in large alternative-asset managers with direct ownership of data-center, digital-infrastructure, power, and private-credit origination platforms. The highest-conviction beneficiaries are Blackstone, Apollo, KKR, BlackRock, Blue Owl, Ares, and DigitalBridge, followed by Carlyle and TPG as meaningful but somewhat less direct beneficiaries. The major US investment banks and universal banks, especially JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citi, and Wells Fargo, should benefit materially from advisory, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, project finance, bridge lending, securitization, hedging, treasury services, and secondary capital formation, but the earnings impact is likely to be more diluted given their larger and more diversified revenue bases. Boutique advisory and capital-markets firms such as Jefferies, Evercore, Lazard, Moelis, PJT Partners, and Houlihan Lokey should benefit from M&A, sponsor transactions, restructuring, private placements, and capital-solutions mandates, while Moody’s and S&P Global represent underappreciated capital-light derivatives of the AI infrastructure financing cycle through ratings, credit analytics, and structured-finance coverage.
